Comic Book Review: Demonic #1- Conflicted Cop Drama #60,86,88,888,872,33

I’m going to write a comic book. It’s going to be about a sexy demon girl telling a man to do bad things. What kind of man can I use for that purpose? He has to be a good man, a conflicted man, umm, how about a cop? Yeah, a homicide (that means murder) cop, and he can have a partner and they can banter like those television shows about cops, and the movies about cops and the books about cops, cops, cops, cops, cops, cops, cops everywhere, hunting serial killers and lone crazy nut people. Man, I love cops.

Oh and if the lead cop is a white guy then I guess his partner will have to be black, and female, yeah, that’s progressive, that will do.

Okay then, so I have my cop character, I’ll make him look like Matt Damon and give him a tight T-shirt with biceps attached. Yeah he’s generic, 2-D paper-thin, but that doesn’t matter. I can flesh him out with a wife and young daughter, yeah, that will do.

Good guy, conflicted, and I don’t even have to do any research because, well, this guy, the conflicted cop guy with wife and young daughter is a big block of television cliché, done a million times to death already, which means that it works, so why do something new when something old always works so well?

Okay then, conflicted slab of generic with Morgan Freeman, female version partner, so far so blah. Umm, how is my sexy demon girl going to make captain cop generic do bad things? I know, make his daughter ill, that will do, daughters are always ill or kidnapped in television dramas, so I guess that we’ll start with ill, then throw in the kidnapping later.

The demon girl can get him to do bad stuff by promising to make his daughter not ill anymore and he can have the get out clause that he’s only doing it to bad people and it’s making his daughter not be all ill and stuff.

Crazy person cliche alert

Perfect, and throw in some serial killer axe murderer cult demonic clichés with a bucket of mangled body parts, guts and blood that you can only see in an ‘adult’ comic and we are off to the generic races of cliché demon, cop story irrelevance.

Err, what does this have to do with anything in the world today? Nothing, and to prove that I have nothing whatsoever to offer I’ll write the entire first issue with no mention of any modern technology.

That means no cell phones, no Internet, no Pokemon Go, nothing, just generic city murder stuff and bars where depressed men drink whiskey like a 70’s television cop show.

Man, I’m a genius. I love being a comic book writer in 2016, it’s the perfect place to hang out if you have absolutely nothing to say, and want to get paid in peanuts for the privilege of doing so.

I’m feeling really good about this one. I don’t want to jinx myself, but I see television deals in my very near future.

Ah, it’s good to be alive. I wonder what’s going on outside? Ah, who gives a crap, reality sucks anyway.

Comic review: Gotham by Midnight #8- Television, Cops and the State

Gotham by Midnight #8 is an unpleasant, unimportant and depressingly stuck within the matrix little comic book, so I won’t waste too much time in reviewing it.

The story is perfunctory, nothing happening, statist drivel. The protagonists are cops and a couple of television hosts. The two hosts are well-worn-out clichés (ruthless and ambitious) and the cops are divided into the usual two categories, good and bad.

There is no underlying understanding of the immoral nature of order following, not that I would ever expect that in a DC comic book. The cops are either ambitious (bad) or trying to do the right thing (good).

Comic book writers still fail to understand that the state is violent coercion, that it is a control system of human enslavement backed up by order following goons. It always has been, and what do they do? They still play the game that the television plays, the game that the politicians play, the game that the newspapers play.

The game is this: You have a choice, but all of your choices are evil. Choose one evil over the other, and that means that you are free, and that evil now has your consent to rule over you.

But what if you don’t want the evil that is violent state coercion? Tough luck, you’re getting it anyway, slave.

I’m fed up with the game now. I’m fed up with comic book writers not understanding it, and I’m fed up of books like Gotham by Midnight #8.

Don't worry, the diverse agents of the state are here to save us.

There was one thing of note in the book. The two hero cops are smart, young and attractive, as they always are in cop shows. One of the cops is an attractive young girl with short hair, a Goth type that you might have seen in a 1990’s comic book by Neil Gaimen.

I’ve met real cops, female cops. Sorry, but they are not cool, comic book style Goths. Real life cops are simple-minded rule followers. They do what they are told, and are happy to do so.  I feel sorry for them. They are lost children in a world of predatory adults.

Anyway, the fantasy Goth Cop in Gotham by Midnight has a boyfriend. He’s a tribal tattooed pretty boy with long hair and a fondness for cooking. In other words, he’s playing the role of the female in their relationship. It’s all about equality now you see. The woman gets to work for the evil that is the state, and the boyfriend gets to stay at home and do her housework and cooking for her.

Yep, it’s that kind of book. That’s how lame it is, and I kind of hate myself for wasting my money on it. Yuck, what a piece of crap that was. Tame, lame and pushing a version of reality that comes from the wet dreams of a viewer of the Daily Show. I wasted my money again, didn’t I? Crap.

Comic review: 2000AD PROG 1938- Still in love with the cult of the order follower

2000AD has gone a bit sleepy, liberal, statist, feminist and irrelevent at the moment, so why should I waste my time constructing a detailed review when all I will do is repeat what I said about it last week?

Judge Dredd, an icon of authoritarian cool.

If you want to know what I think about Judge Dredd and female protagonists punching men in the face and bossing everybody about then look at my previous reviews. I’m not going to repeat myself, so I’ll keep this week’s review of 2000AD PROG 1938 short, and to the point.

The cover (by Neil Roberts) is nice. I like the layout, the blur and unconventionality to it, it’s a good one, and that’s coming from somebody who hates Judge Dredd.

Absalom has one panel with our heroes (the Police) rushing off to capture a dangerous criminal. As their van thunders through the streets they knock somebody of his bike. This is not going to be a big part of the narrative, it’s a minor detail, but it’s the best thing about the story, as it shows a truth about the Police.

Cops don’t actually give a s*** about people, it’s just fun and games to them, a case, a puzzle, a promotion, whatever, people don’t really matter, it’s all about them and their precious careers, not the people that they pretend to serve.

Cops are not there to defend the public. They are there to protect the status quo, the corporate overlords, the political minions and the demonic banks that control them.

If politicians decided that the wearing of a hat was now a criminal offence punishable by a lengthy prison sentence, cops would happily arrest you for wearing one, and send you to a gulag to rot away forever.

Order following thugs portrayed as heroes

The truth about cops is that they are not good people, they are order followers. Order followers are never good people. All cops are bad cops because they have chosen to disregard personal moral responsibility for the selfish pursuit of a career and money.

Don’t believe television cop programmes and don’t believe comics, books and all of the other media that portrays cops as heroes, because that is not based on reality. Cops are order following, selfish, immoral cowards. They always have been, and they always will be. That’s the truth, like it or not.

That’s all that I want to say about PROG 1938 of 2000AD. All of the stories have cops/soldiers as protagonists. Order followers all, there are no heroes here. If you are still under the misapprehension that order followers are good people then pick up a copy of Mein Kampf, and carry on as before. I have better things to do with my time.

Order followers are bad people. You will not sell me on the virtue of being a Nazi. It cannot be done. Comic books that portray cops and soldiers as heroes to children are doing a disservice to humanity. They are infecting the minds of the young, instilling in them a disease that maintains the evil, immoral, world that we live in today. I will not promote disease. I will not bow down to the immoral cult of the sociopathic order follower. Humanity needs to recognise truth, and to stop promoting, and bowing down to agents of the state. Cops and soldiers are order following servants of the satanic ‘elites’ that enslave us all, and it doesn’t matter how they are portrayed in mainstream media ‘programming’ vehicles. Truth will eventually out, and humanity will not be enslaved forever.
